We are bound by and comply with the National Privacy Principles, as provided in the Federal Privacy Act 1988.
Boat Deck only collect personal information that is necessary for us to provide you with the service you requested. The personal information is provided by you when you place an online advertisement or when you register for our eNewsletter. This personal information may include your name, address and contact details and may also contain your personal feedback or opinion of our site, services and how we can improve your experience with us. This information is not shared with anyone outside Boat Deck Pty Ltd.

Boat Deck collects information on our site visitors collectively. This includes which sections of the site are most frequently visited, how often and for how long. This data is always used as aggregated, non-personal information. Boat Deck utilise this information to improve our services to you by identifying the pages that our customers find most valuable.

You can also play an important role in keeping your personal information secure by maintaining the confidentiality your account name and password. Under no circumstances will we email you asking you to log directly into your account from that email. You should be aware of any such scams as they are rife throughout the internet. If you are suspicious of any unauthorized activity in your account, dubious correspondence or any other form of security breach contact us immediately.
Accessing Your Personal Information
You have a right to access most personal information we hold about you and if we deny access in some circumstances we will tell you why. To request access, please contact our privacy office as set out at the bottom of this page.
Correcting Your Personal Information
If you request us to do so we will amend any personal information about you held by us which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Registered Members have access to their account details and can update their profile at any time. Should you require assistance with updating your information please contact us.
Disposal of Personal Information
Once your transaction is finalised, both the electronic and hard-copy information is securely archived. After a period of 7 years in accordance with the law both the electronic and hard-copy information is destroyed.
We sincerely welcome ideas and feedback about all aspects of the website. Any feedback provided will be used to improve our service to you and we will not share the information with any parties outside Boat Deck Pty Ltd.
Any necessary changes will be made in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the National Privacy Principles and will be published on our site.
